the Big Island of Hawaii.
This is a private home that was built by my son and myself. We are located
in a very tiny oceanside community that is soooo fortunate to have, in our
back yards, the "Kapoho Tidepools Marine wildlife reserve". Said to have
the largest collection of sea corals and tropical fish anywhere on the
Hawaiian Islands.
We are located just 500 feet from the ocean and a four or five minute Walk
to the tidepools. Also known as the Wai Opea Marine Wildlife Sanctuary.
Kapoho is surrounded by papaya farms, orchid ranches, tropical rainforest
coastal drives, black sand beaches of Kehena and Kalapana and the Pu u o o
crater will fascinate all who see her as lava, when flowing, flows into the
ocean creating a display of lights and sparks.
If you're coming to see Hawaii as Hawaii was, then I hope that you'll
investigate this last frontier of the Hawaiian Islands.
Here you'll never find any hotels, motels, traffic or traffic lights. You
will not find large tourist crowds, rather our community is mostly
residential homes. Each with its own style. Come feel the Aloha of Hawaii
as few ever discover.
